conVISUAL, the first Visual Messaging Service Provider, has realised the "SMS Dating" mobile community service for RTL NEWMEDIA. conVISUAL is also overseeing operations relating to RTL ringtones, logos and picture messages.

The "RTL Dating & Friends Service" represents a novel interactive mobile service from RTL. The company has teamed up with conVISUAL and, together, they have set their sights on expanding the largest and most popular flirt and dating platform among German speakers.

Each RTL Dating participant can find his/her partner for life or simply make new friends via the Web (dating.rtl.de) or the mobile phone. conVISUAL looks after the mobile part - the SMS Dating - based on its Multimedia Message Broker platform. By sending simple SMS commands to the quick-dial number 73066 in Vodafone D2, E-Plus, or VIAG Interkom networks, sociable mobile phone users receive details of potential dates that correspond to their search criteria. If one has sparked the particular user's interest, more SMS commands can be sent to obtain detailed information or to initiate a one-to-one chat. Therefore, it is now possible to directly arrange a meeting with the ideal partner by mobile phone.

The service charge is conveniently included in the mobile phone bill. conVISUAL is responsible for the billing process with network operators and, thus, assumes the collection role for RTL.
